An email from Nick Bollettieri

Dear TJ,

Control cannot be pinpointed to this or that, but in all of my years of experience I find the following will have a major influence:

1. Your foundation must be in place which then will give you balance throughout the entire stroke, especially directing the ball to different positions.

2. Grips will also be a factor for control. A weak grip (e.g. eastern forehand) will lack control on high balls. A semi-western grip will have your hand behind the handle and this increases your control factor

3. Weight transfer must go to the direction you want to hit your ball to.

Soon, my website will feature a membership section that will offer you video tennis tips and exclusive content. I hope you will become a member!!
